The Need For Air Purifiers
Many people may not know the difference, but there are significant ones between air purifiers and air filters. An air filter does just that, it filters the air and it can only filter the air that passes through it. If there isn't enough circulation in your home or your air purifier doesn't produce enough, your air will not get clean.
The difference with an air purifier is that it cleans the air in your home where it's at. It is not required that the air in your home or apartment or just a small room pass through the device to be cleaned. The way this works is that the ion technology and RCI cell in an EcoQuest air purifier goes out from the unit into the room a cleanses and purifies the air where it is at.
Part of the way this works is that ions charge particles of dust on a continuous basis and these negatively and positively charged particlulates eventually clump together and when they are large enough they become heavier that the surrounding air and drop to the ground.
Some air purification units also contain UV lights and filters to give an extra cleaning to the air that does pass through the unit. Also, usually with air purifiers there are no filters that need to be changed on a regular basis and as an ongoing cost to you, the consumer.
You can make your own choice on how you want to clean the air in your home, but a filter rather that an air purifier, does not have the same benefits. An air purifier is a much smarter choice.
